Therapeutic photography

"When my thoughts threaten to overwhelm me, the camera becomes my ally and helps me focus on what is right in front of me."

In the year 2015, I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. Although putting a name to my struggles brought some relief, it did not change the fact that I have been dealing with this for as long as I can remember. A life riddled with anxiety, phobias, and different health conditions, I tried different ways of coping.

Eventually, I found the one that worked best for me: photography.

Therapeutic photography.

The pictures you see below are the results of my inner reflections. They are a combination of everyday thoughts that needed to be released into the world. This is an ongoing personal project. I want to show people who experience chronic anxiety and/or depression that they are not alone.

Let's start a conversation.
